Wings Over the Rockies, a Colorado-based non-profit, educates and inspires people about aviation and space activities. The Air & Space Museum in Denver's historic Lowry neighborhood honors the past, while the Exploration of Flight Center at Centennial Airport highlights current and future aerospace advancements.
In 2016, Wings Over the Rockies recognized Clay Lacy for his aviation career and connections to Colorado. Lacy has had a long-standing professional relationship with Lynn Krogh, President of International Jet Aviation at Centennial Airport, for over forty years. Krogh highlights Lacy's reputation as a commercial entrepreneur, test pilot, race pilot, airline captain, and influential figure in aviation.
Possibly more than any other human being in history, Lacy has flown aircraft for more than 55,000 hours and over 300 aircraft types. His commercial, corporate, military, racing, and test flight accomplishments help inspire future aerospace professionals at Wings Over the Rockies' Exploration of Flight Campus in Englewood, Colorado.
